“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
What to expect when you come to visit us.
Visiting any church for the first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What can I expect? We want your first visit be a refreshing and enjoyable experience for you and your family. We want you to experience traditional hymns, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home.” Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
What time to show up? What can I expect?
Our Sunday Morning services consist of two hours of Biblical Instruction followed by a Sunday lunch which is provided by Old Landmark. The first half of the service begins at 10:00 am. We sing a few hymns and have an interactive Bible instruction consistent with a traditional Sunday School environment. We enjoy a short fellowship time and coffee between the first and second half. The second half of our Sunday Morning services begins at 11:00 am. This is our formal worship service with more hymns, followed by an expository style message from our pastor. Following our morning services we enjoy more fellowship over a Sunday Lunch.
What to wear?
We do not have a dress code at Old Landmark MBC for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your first visit here!
If there is something we missed on this list or if you still have more questions, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Old Landmark will be enjoyable!
We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you arrive.
Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday Morning!
